Whether you choose to communicate with your external gear via serial port, or using any one of the three RS-422 controllers on the optional SX-8 Switcher Expansion Module, you are given complete control with an intuitive virtual VCR interface. All the familiar controls you’d expect to find on a deck are there: play, pause, rewind, fast forward stop and record. The time-code window indicates the tape’s location while playing.
